Vancouver COndo
Dreamy Family Retreat
Location: Vancouver, Washington
Project Type: Full-Service Furnishings & Design Refresh
The Story:
In this compact waterfront condo, the homeowners wanted a space that felt intentional, light, and welcoming without overwhelming the open floor plan. With two young children and a love of the outdoors, they envisioned a getaway from their busy lives that could balance everyday family life with a refined coastal aesthetic.
When we began, the condo was a blank slate with white walls, minimal character, and standard finishes. Our goal was to infuse warmth, personality, and function while celebrating the home’s serene riverside views.
The Design:
We took a holistic approach, updating the condo from entry to bedrooms. New lighting, mirrors, and fixtures brought cohesion to both bathrooms, while a layered furnishings plan introduced texture and depth throughout the living areas.
To maintain an open and airy feel, we leaned on sculptural forms, soft neutrals, and organic materials. A round glass-topped pedestal table anchored the dining nook without visual weight, while woven chairs added warmth and tactility designed around the owner's own art piece.
The lighting became a defining feature—a mix of Visual Comfort and Varaluz fixtures that blend craftsmanship with personality. Natural fibers, wood accents, and subtle coastal styling tied everything together for a space that feels calm, connected, and effortlessly livable.
Key Features:
Pedestal dining table with glass top — keeps the footprint light and bright
Woven dining chairs — add organic texture and contrast
Bubble-glass chandelier — sculptural focal point and soft light diffusion
Abstract artwork by owner— introduces movement and color without clutter
Updated bathrooms — new mirrors, fixtures, and cohesive finishes
New paint and lighting throughout — unified tone and flow
Why It Works:
By blending transparency, texture, and scale, we transformed an overlooked condo into a cohesive family retreat. The design enhances flow, elevates comfort, and celebrates the natural light and views—proof that even small spaces can feel expansive when every detail is intentional.
